Abstract: This study attempts to identify and appraise the impressive quality of the repetitive imagery used by Wallace Stevens in his poem, “Sunday Morning.”In the poem, Stevens uses various kinds of imagery but this study focuses only onthevividness of some which are used repetitively to conveyhis ideas. The study finds that Stevens is very subtle in creating appealing and effective imagery. He applies the same imagery in varied forms in different contexts so that the reoccurrence of an image may indicate an important development of ideas, moods, or attitudes.

Keywords: Repetitive, imagery, varied, reoccurrence.
