Towards Adopting an `Economic Impact’ Approach in the Classification of the Burden of Oral Diseases: The Case of the East African Community Countries

Abstract: This commentary argues for a change in the way we communicate the burden of dental diseases to policy makers so that the economic impact of these diseases can be more easily and realistically appreciated. Specific reference to dental caries in the East African Community countries (EAC) will be used to argue out the case.
