Knowledge, Attitude, Awareness and Perception of Dental Implants among Undergraduate Dental Students

Abstract: The main aim of the study is to evaluate and assess the knowledge ,awareness and exposure about dental implants among undergraduate dental students. In current generation, implants are more aware to the patients , as the exposure and knowledge is demand in higher level competence for dental students . The materials and methods were, the study was a cross sectional which was conducted among the students of Thai moogambigai dental college , Mogappair west ,Chennai. An total survey of 100 samples of undergraduate dental students was taken .An Questionnaire was set up which has 25 questions regarding dental implants. To show and exhibit the amount of percentage and level of exposure among dental students . The response is obtained from the students in terms of numbers and percentage. The results of this study shows the lack of awareness among undergraduate dental students. Moreover there is a insufficiency or inadequate in promoting knowledge. The results of the study suggested that more abundant supply of knowledge should be promoted to dental students , due to lack of knowledge and exposure among dental students.
