Abstract: The study investigated the influence of social activities on social adjustment of students with deafness in Special Education Schools in Uyo Nigeria. The purpose of the study is to as certian the influence of social activities on social adjustment of students with deafness in Special Education Schools in Uyo Nigeria. The study adopted descriptive survey research design. Four null null hypotheses were postulated to guide the research. The variables include participation in game (sport), creative drama activity, gender and play competition. To collect data effectively, 12 item questionnaire was administered on 100 respondents sampled for study. The data collected were analysed using z-test statistic to test the null null hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The result showed that gender has no influence on social adjustment of students with deafness rather there are substantial influence of participation in games (sport), creative drama activity and play competition therefore, based on these findings some recommendations, suggestions that are important for school counselors and educational planners that will better improve the standard of school curriculum for preventive intervention were make.
