Abstract: This research explores the impact of counselling services in improving academic performances as perceived by teachers and students in senior secondary schools of Kebbi State, Nigeria. For the study, a sample of 317 students and 183 teachers from public secondary schools in Kebbi state were selected from a population of The study utilizes the descriptive design and an instrument developed by the researchers was used in collecting data. Formulated hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance. Using independent-samples t-test statistic, results indicated that both the teachers and the students affirmed that counselling services are very important in improving students’ academic performance.
