Abstract: Abstract:-The aim of the study was to study and determine the correlation between Highly Sensitive People (HSP) and Personality traits. HSP and Sensory Processing Sensitivity (SPS) are used interchangeably, both however indicates the same personality traits. SPS defined as a deeper sensitivity to physical, emotional or social stimuli. Two scales, the HSP scale developed by Aron and Aron and the NEO - FFI scale developed by Costa and McCrae were used to conduct the study. The research was conducted on male and female subjects of age 18 years and above. A questionnaire was circulated through google forms and data was collected from 291 subjects. The data collected was analysed using JASP descriptive analysis, t - test and correlation. The results show a significant difference between males and females with respect to HSP. No significant correlation was found between the big five personality traits and prevalence of HSP.
