Abstract: Nigeria has formulated and implemented numerous national development plans with the aim of achieving long-term development. However, these plans have not adequately addressed the need for a comprehensive development strategy that takes into account the impact of diverse development plans and policies on global sustainable development goals. This research endeavour aimed to establish a framework for evaluating the interlinkages among various goals and targets, specifically focusing on the Water-Energy-Food Nexus within the context of Nigeria's development framework and policies. Employing content analysis as the chosen methodology, the study scrutinized the Nigerian Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP) 2017-2020 and the National Policy on Food and Nutrition (NPFN) to identify possible synergies and trade-offs with respect to SDGs 1, 2, 6, and 7.This research contributes to the knowledge base by offering policymakers in various sectors a broader understanding of the connections between different national policies and the SDGs.
