Abstract: PCOS stands for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. It is a common hormonal disorder that primarily affects women of reproductive age. It can cause various symptoms, including irregular periods, excess androgen levels, and small fluid-filled sacs (cysts) in the ovaries. PCOS is not typically found in men, as it is associated with the female reproductive system. While it's not life- threatening, it can lead to serious health problems if left untreat- ed. PCOS can increase the risk of conditions such as type 2 dia- betes, heart disease, and infertility. Early diagnosis and proper management are important for managing its effects on women's health.
