Abstract: Asthma is a chronic respiratory disease caused by genetic and environmental factors. The ATD fingerprint design and orientation will be shaped by intrauterine environmental variables over the same time period. The aim of this research is to see if there are any variations in dermatoglyphic patterns (fingerprint patterns and ATD angles) between Javanese parents with bronchial asthma and Javanese parents with normal children in Surabaya. This type of research is observational analytic cross sectional design. The sample is parents who have normal children and parents who have children with bronchial asthma in the Javanese in the city of Surabaya. Data analysis used Chi-Square test and T-test.
