Abstract: Public Wi-Fi networks have become ubiquitous in today's digital age, providing convenient internet access to users in public spaces. However, the open and shared nature of these networks raises significant security concerns. This paper focuses on the implementation of important security awareness measures in public Wi-Fi networks to mitigate the risks associated with unauthorized access and data breaches. The implementation begins with the deployment of robust encryption and authentication protocols to ensure secure communication between users and the network. By leveraging protocols like WPA2 or WPA3, network providers can safeguard user data and prevent unauthorized access. Furthermore, the establishment of separate guest networks helps protect the internal network infrastructure from potential threats posed by public users. By isolating guest traffic and implementing firewalls and intrusion prevention systems, network administrators can fortify the network's security posture.
