Abstract: Periodontitis and cardiovascular disease share complex etiology involving common risk factors like age, smoking, diabetes etc. recent evidence suggested that dental infections could play a role in the initiation and development of cad and has led the world to focus on the fact that, periodontitis may act as an independent risk factor for initiation and progression of cad.
